Google Timeline

File Upload

Import location history from Google Timeline (Takeout). Identifies home days vs travel, flights, timezone changes. Location data correlates with sleep quality and jet lag.

Setup

1. Open takeout.google.com, select Location History. 2. Format: JSON (recommended). 3. Upload the files from Semantic Location History folder in the integration settings.

Data Provided

  • daily location (city, country, is_home flag)
  • flights (origin, destination, timezone delta)
  • travel events (trips away from home)

Privacy & Security

Geodata is processed on the server. MapBox API is used for reverse geocoding (coordinates → city name). Geocode cache is stored locally. Exact coordinates are not stored — only city and country.
